We believe that God has identified our vision in three areas: the local Body, greater Hot Springs, and the World! We also believe that God has called us to be a House of Prayer. To that end, three Wednesday evenings out of each month are devoted to worship and to prayer. We desire to answer the call of Isaiah 61:1,2 which says "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn...."
Desiring to touch the needy in a tangible way, we have sought to feed the hungry and minister to the physical needs of the poor, captive, widows, and orphans both in our Church Body and in the community. While we touch these physical needs, we seek to meet the spiritual and emotional needs, which often lie at the root of such problems. Our outreach, The Oasis, is our connection to those who are most vulnerable in these areas.
As to the World, we are committed to the care and support of missionaries around the globe. A large percentage of our tithes and offerings are spent in support of those who are laboring in the mission field, as well as sending our own mission teams to areas of the world that we feel we can effect. Together we strive to spread the Good News of the saving grace of Jesus Christ!
